2020 Update: We canned 35,747 lbs. of chicken thighs resulted in 23,283 cans and 6 comforters were knotted during canning.   In addition, WMS sent to MCC 96 school kits, 65 hygiene kits, 15 sewing kits, 27 comforters, 3 quilts and 3 blankets.

2021 Update: We were able to can 41,400 lbs. of chicken which resulted in 27,676 cans of meat.  On average, one can will feed a family of four for one day!  If you do the math, that comes to 110,704 people will be fed!  WMS sent 96 school kits, 70 hygiene kits,100 dignity kits, 15 sewing kits, 54 comforters, and 2 baby blankets to MCC to be distributed worldwide.

The majority of canned meat is distributed through Mennonite Central Committee to countries in desperate need of food.  While ten percent of the filled cans are distributed to local area food pantries.   

We are grateful for the generous outpouring of financial resources and volunteers.  

This project is an above budget ministry.  Donations can be made throughout the year.  Donations should be sent to the church and designated for "canning".
